Old City

Old City is the dinner-date corridor. The walkable restaurant geography between 2nd and 5th, Front to Arch, the Race Street bar cluster, the Elfreth's Alley and Independence Mall edges, makes it the natural home of the four-to-six hour evening. The hotel base is smaller (the Bourse area, the Independence Park properties, the boutique stock around 3rd Street) but the format is what the neighborhood is built for.

Pricing runs roughly in line with Rittenhouse, slightly looser at the dinner-date end where rates are quoted as longer multiples rather than hourly. The Friday-Saturday gallery crawl and First Friday surge make Old City weekends busier than the Center City average; weekday evenings are quieter and easier to book.
